Focus: A Key to Affiliate Marketing Success

At one time, the portion of the population who used the internet with frequency was an excited group of “hardcore” computer users excited at the dawning of a new era. They were looking for ways to spend their money online and almost any product might appeal to them. Of course, the small user base was able to choose from a relatively small number of offerings.

Things have changed. Increased web access has turned everyone from nine-year-old children to retired great-grandmothers into web surfers. Although the number of people willing to make online purchases continues to increase, the overall percentage of individuals comfortable with the process remains low. Along with the boom in users, there are now countless opportunities to spend online.

This confluence of events has transformed affiliate marketing. Back in the “old days,” a few decent web sites providing a series of product offerings could produce an income. In a mad scramble for maximum market penetration, affiliate marketers promoted as many items as possible. That “shotgun” strategy produced some revenues for awhile, but today the technique is horribly outdated.

In order to succeed within the changed parameters of affiliate marketing, wildly latching onto affiliate opportunities in hopes of finding “something” that works is doomed to fail. Instead, today’s affiliate marketer needs to focus his or her efforts.

Market research, carefully structured and “deeper” strategies, better products and superior sales techniques are essential. Instead of trying to attack every single market, the new route to success seems to be based upon finding smaller, hungry niche markets that are underserved and then effectively exploiting those market segments. Those who wander the vast plains of the internet randomly firing off sales pitches will invariably go home empty-handed. Those who carefully patrol closely defined areas with a precision marketing strategy, on the other hand, can generate enviable incomes.

As is the case in society at large, the generalist is being phased out in favor of the specialist. Developing a specialized expertise in discrete markets, understanding the demographic's preference and delivering in a way that meets their precise needs is the most likely route to affiliate marketing success.

Those who persist in trying to “throw it all up against the wall to see what sticks” will be outsold repeatedly by smart marketers who carefully focus their efforts on potentially lucrative niches within the larger marketplace.

Find good products that match well with specific market segments you can reach. Study those sectors and get a better understanding of how to sell to them. Take the time and make the effort to do more than throw products at them, hoping for the best. The more focused approach to affiliate marketing may require a bit more thought than the old shotgun approach, but with the growing number of internet users, profit potential is actually higher than ever for those who know how to isolate and exploit rip niches.

If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to get focused. Very focused.

Resell Rights: Are They the Fastest Way to Online Profits?

What’s the fastest way to online profits? Even if you don’t have a product or service to sell? Well, it’s likely getting your hands on some resell rights.

Securing resell rights to a popular product means that you can sell it to your clients and keep all the profits. In order to work this deal out, you just need to find a product that currently has resell rights and purchase the rights. Many popular ebooks come with resell rights (along with any regular purchase). Others offer resell rights for an extra fee.

The best resell rights products are those that can be resold for a high price and are in demand. Most of the best resell rights products are plug-in and profit ready. That means they come with a sales page and graphics. All you need to do is upload the images and files and drive traffic to the site to gain your clients. These quality resell rights packages are highly converting sales machines and will only stand to make you money if you drive the proper clientele to your site.

There are many high-demand resell rights products available. However, there are many that fall a little short. The resell rights products to watch out for are never highly converting. In fact, the sales pages are in need of a serious overhaul as are the products themselves. These poor resell rights packages can be spotted fairly quickly as the owner usually bundles dozens of them together. I’m not suggesting that it’s impossible to make money from these packages, but it would be worth your money to buy the rights to something a little more valuable.

So look around, read reviews if possible and secure valuable resell rights today. It is one of the fastest ways to real profits on the internet.

If you want to learn more about resell rights and where to get the best buys, please check out our reviews at Resell Rights online; find ebooks with resell rights and resell right information.

Why Merchants Encourage Affiliate Marketing Programs

More and more merchants, big and small, are introducing their own versions of affiliate marketing programs in e-commerce community every day simply because it allows them to earn more!

One of the biggest appeals of affiliate marketing for merchants is the savings they gain since they no longer have to carry out their own online advertising and promotion. The savings incurred by merchants who have gained a well-established presence and success in the affiliate marketing program is such that some of them barely conduct any promotional activity to generate of more sales. Although this does not weaken their current sales in the online business, they fail to exploit the full potential of generating more revenues for their online business and their affiliates by taking advantage of after-sales marketing strategies.

Therefore, a merchant must still conduct some form of advertising regardless if he has an effective affiliate marketing program, and hundreds of affiliates conducting the promotions for him. The merchant must look into making a second or even a third sale to the customers he has acquired. Such practice is generally called after-sales/back-end marketing. Extending and modifying the practice of after-sales marketing to the Internet can complement affiliate marketing.

Here are some ways that a merchant or even an affiliate can perform after-sales marketing:

Newsletters – Whether through email or sent through snail mail, these publications are perfect avenues to introduce other products to past clients on your mailing list. These other products can be support or complimentary products of the original your sold or a totally different one. Therefore, in the merchant’s affiliate website, there should be a part where the customer is asked whether he would like to receive free newsletters from the online company. If the customer clicks yes, then this customer is taken to another web page where he can enter his email or mailing address. When the client agrees, make sure to inform him that his name will never be sold or provided to another party.

Thank You Letters – Send your client a thank you letter for patronizing the merchant’s products as a form of business courtesy. However, in the body of the letter, be sure to include other products that you promote in which the client may have an interest in the future.

Customer Satisfaction Emails – Aside from the original thank you letter, you can send a follow up email a month after the product purchase to inquire if the client is satisfied with the product he bought. Aside from the fact that the email positively shows the affiliate’s concern for the client, the opportunity also provides an avenue to mention other available products and services.

Customers Only Webpage – Integrating a webpage for clients only in your website where online support and discussions among other users of the products can be maintained is another marketing opportunity. The webpage can include links and banners for other related or complimentary products.

Exploiting after-sales marketing strategies and realizing its benefits are relatively easier since the client has already given his trust after the initial purchase.
